Jesus and Thomas - John 20:24-31

READ JOHN 20:24-31

Jesus, you are the death-defeater and the eye-opener and the faith-giver. You show yourself to those who doubt, and we can't help but believe. You overcome our doubt and do what you must to capture us. You give strength to the weak. I often move away from living in awe of you to being captured by the finite. I'm sorry. Thank you for being merciful to me, a sinner. I want to live a life of victory in your victory. Amen

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. - Psalm 118:28

And since [Thomas] was going to preach this message to the Gentiles, this conscientious investigator was examining carefully how he might provide a foundation for the faith needed for such a mystery. … For the only reason the Lord had kept his wounds was to provide evidence of his resurrection. – Peter Chrysologus

Just as Jesus moved through the locked door to show himself to Thomas, he moves through locked hearts to show himself to the lost.
