The High Priestly Prayer - John 17:1-26

READ JOHN 17:1-26

Jesus, you give me life. You are praying for me. You are guarding me. You create unity amongst believers. You are developing love in me. Holy Father, you keep me believing. You are my high priest. My salvation is totally due to your kindness toward me. I don’t get it as I should. Your work is so magnificent and I am so dumb – I’m sorry. Thank you for being for me and saving me while I am helpless. Please change my understanding. Please break my resistance. Please help me see as I should. Amen

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings, from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me. - Psalm 17:8–9

Our Lord, the only begotten who is co-eternal with the Father but who also took the form of a servant, could have prayed in silence if need be.
