The Death of Lazarus - John 11:1-16

READ JOHN 11:1-16

Jesus, you have perfect timing and accomplish exactly what you set out to do – always. You always work everything for the praise of your name and the good of your children. I confess that I think I know more than I actually know. My earthly sight and my earthly feelings and my earthly priorities too often drive me. I usually don’t trust you the way I should – I’m sorry. Thank you for caring for me even though I’m like a child in the way I think. Thank you for keeping me even though I’m often faithless. Jesus, I want to trust as I should. Please work deeper faith into my soul. Amen

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! - Psalm 37:7

[The sisters] did not venture to say, “Come and heal him,” nor did they venture to say, “Command there, and it shall be done here.” These women said nothing like this, but only, “Lord, behold, he whom you love is ill”—as if to say: It is enough that you know. For you are not one that loves and then abandons. – Augustine

Our comfort is NOT the most important thing; our salvation is.
